A Decade in the Desert now available! June 1999
Texas session guitarist Hash Brown gathered his friends in the studio a few years ago, and the result is the excellent CD Hash Brown's Texas Blues Revue. It's our Surprise of the month. Influential blues guitarist Earl Hooker was Simply The Best, as explained by the title of this collection of mostly 1969 recordings, featured in our Flashback section. Chicago's Tail Dragger and Detroit blues guitarist Johnnie Bassett have great new CDs this month, headlining our What's New section.
