This month's Pick Hit gives our two main reviewers a chance to list their favorite albums from 2022, with John Németh, Dylan Triplett, Trudy Lynn, Silent Partners, and others showing up on both lists.

Don't start off with any pre-conceived notions when you read that Teresa James has released a full album of Beatles covers. With A Little Help From Her Friends packs a heavy dose of blues and soul into every song as Ms. James makes them all her own. It's a little early to make this call, but this month's Surprise CD of the month just might turn out to be the best album of 2023.

We get real obscure with this month's Flashback feature, looking back at a very fine album, The Real Guitar Hero, from David "Chainsaw" Dupont.

Our What's New section features new albums from Tas Cru, Barbara Blue, Seth Rosenbloom, Mississippi MacDonald, Diane Blue, Damon Fowler, Lex Grey and the Urban Pioneers, Mick Kolassa, and more.
