Lil Ed & the Blues Imperials Lil' Ed & the Blues Imperials are back, with their new album, Slideways, earning this month's Pick Hit designation. If you are a longtime Ed Head, you know what to expect from this crazy collection of Chicago blues cats.

This is the epitome of a surprise album, coming from a relatively unknown group putting out quality music that earns it our Surprise pick. Tell The Devil is the latest from New Orleans band Royal & Toulouse, and it's a good one.

This month's Flashback, Let's Swing!, from Quebec band Big Time Lew and the Screamin' Rockets, was originally released in 2019 but sent to only three local DJs. It's now out for public consumption, and rumors are that it's a guaranteed party.

Our What's New section features new albums from Altered Five Blues Band, Charlie Barath, The Pontchartrain Shakers, Brother John, and more, plus a rare home studio single from Hubert Sumlin.
