Tad Robinson is back with his first album of soul/blues in six years, and Delmark's Soul In Blues is a gem.. It's this month's Pick Hit.

The biggest surprise is that one of our favorite blues cats, Selwyn Birchwood, put out a self-released album, Old School, last year as a side project. Our Surprise pick of the month is certainly worth the wait if you didn't grab it when it was first out.

This month's Flashback covers another of The Tail Gators periodic releases of live versions of their classic recordings from the 1980s. Live '84-90, Vol. III is a definite party in a jewel case!.
