Chicago blues veteran Willie Buck is back in action this month with our Pick Hit, his latest album being Willie Buck Way on Delmark Records.

The blues world is being refreshed with plenty of young talent being added to the international scene, with Cincinnati-based teenaged piano player Ben Levin the latest to release high quality blues. His second disc, Before Me, is our Surprise CD this month.

This month's Flashback feature spotlights a new collection of recordings, both reissued sides plus a few previously-unreleased numbers, by Detroit and Toledo artist Big Jack Reynolds. It's a gem.
