The folks at Severn Records had a brilliant idea to team singer Mud Morganfield with harmonica great Kim Wilson to release a collection of songs from Morganfield's father. For Pops (A Tribute To Muddy Waters) is this month's Pick Hit.

Our Surprise pick for the month, Bluez Of My Soul, comes from Mississippi artist Dexter Allen. It's out on Bobby Rush's Deep Rush label.

Veteran bluesman Louisiana Red recorded many, many albums during his career, with this collection of live recordings captured in Greece from 1994 to 2007 making the cut as this month's Flashback feature.
